SUMMARY:History Study Group
DESCRIPTION:We will be concluding the book\, Fields of Blood: Religion and the History of Violence by Karen Armstrong. In Part III\, Armstrong covers the modern era\, from the Reformation and the voyages of discovery to the religious conflicts of today. \nIf you haven’t had the time to read the whole book\, I have some encouraging news. Not only is Armstrong a good writer and religious historian\, but this is one of those books that\, if you haven’t read the earlier parts\, you could still read Part III and comfortably participate in a discussion about it. Of course\, we would prefer you read the whole book\, but would be happy to see you\, regardless. And there’s no tests\, either. \n
